WELDON SPRING, Mo. (AP) – Missouri state troopers are planning to be out in big numbers over the Labor Day weekend, and aggressive drivers in particular should be on their good behavior.

The Highway Patrol says troopers will be patrolling at 20-mile intervals along Interstates 35, 44, 55 and 70 and U.S. Highways 60 and 63 on Aug. 31, and again on Labor Day, Sept. 3.

Officers will be targeting all traffic wrongdoing, but officials say they’ll be looking especially for aggressive driving violations.

The effort is known as Operation CARE, which stands for Combined Accident Reduction Effo
