6th Man Arrested In A Child Sex Ring

Authorities have identified more victims and arrested a 6th man in a child sex abuse case in western Missouri—with ties to mid-Missouri because one suspect is a Columbia man.  The Highway Patrol says the suspect arrested Thursday night is 55-year-old Larry Kidd of Kansas City who is  not related to the other five defendants.  He’s described as an “associate” of the others, who include a 77-year-old man and his four adult sons. The Patrol says Kidd was arrested without incident in Jackson County on suspicion of raping a child less than 14 years old.  He’s being held with the other defendants at the Lafayette County Jail.  No information is released on the additional victims. The Columbia man in custody with is father and 3 brothers is 48 year old Jared Mohler

    This story is horrible, and as the father of 2 precious children it breaks my heart; but it is made only more brutal by detail of the charges that are repeatedly expressed by your news team! We get the picture. Please reconsider expressing these details -as they seem only for “shock value”.
