Active Pot Growing Operation Busted in JC

A trio of Jefferson Citians face charges after an indoor pot farm is busted.

Police and ‘Mustang’ drug agents hit the home on Kenborg Hills Road late last week, and police captain Doug Shoemaker now says they took in a decent haul.

“It was an actual grow operation with about 42 plants in an active state of grow, along with about a half-pound of processed marijuana and a firearm,” says Shoemaker.

Susan Ponder, 33, and 27–year-old Christopher Dean were arrested on suspicion of drug manufacturing in connection with the raid. Geneva Ponder, 60, was arrested for drug possession.
