Officials at Columbia Regional Airport will show a lot of love to American Airlines today. The new carrier starts its service from Mid-Missouri to Dallas and Chicago with a flight to Texas at 6:45 this morning.
Overnight, crews had to switch Delta’s old check-in desk at the airport to support all-new signage and a different reservations system. Local leaders will hold an official welcoming ceremony for American this afternoon.
