Boone County Deputies are investigating a Columbia-area attempted home invasion. Just after midnight Wednesday morning, several people in a home on Rocky Fork Drive held off two gunmen. 8 adults and 3 children were inside when the adults reported that they were playing cards and heard a faint knock on the door. Two opened the door and were confronted by two men with their faces covered who pointed guns at them. The victims were able to slam the door shut and lock it…and the gunmen ran off.
