Congratulations to Blaze Vermillion, the sight-impaired hunter who ventured out with the Missouri Special Sportsmans Association and shot a turkey this past Saturday (5/1). Blaze visited Wake Up Columbia a week ago and described the accident that left her partially blinded. She’s a brave 19 year-old full of love and deserved a chance to experience a Springtime hunt in Missouri.
Mike DeShazo and his entourage had a great time guiding Blaze through her first successful turkey season. Special thanks to the gang for allowing Tom Bradley to trample out to the woods with them. Blaze and her 22-pound bird are shown here with (l-r) her dad Mike, sister Amber and mom Tammy.
