A Columbia man doubles his trouble, after speeding away from a traffic stop. A Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted 36-year-old Victor Houston’s car near a closed business on Wagon Trail Road Saturday evening. When the deputy approached the car, Houston sped off, running stop signs and passing a vehicle illegally along the way. Houston finally stopped in the Clearview Subdivision and ran off. He was caught a short time later.
The only accusation before the chase against Houston, at least so far, was that he didn’t have a valid driver’s license. Tack on the resisting arrest charge, though, and he doubled his bond, to nine thousand dollars total.
Boone Co. Sheriff’s Det. Tom O’Sullivan tells us Houston has now been in their jail 24 times since 1996.
