We now know the name of the suspected shooter in the murder of Tre’veon Marshall.
Court Documents from the Columbia Police show, 19 year-old Nicholas Thomas was the triggerman in the shooting.
He and 18 year-old Joshua Murray saw Tre’veon Marshall walking with a girl through McKee Park when Murray says Thomas shot him in the back once. He says Marshall tried to yell for help and Nichols fired at him several more times.
The pair fled in a car driven by 17 year-old Kimberly Huett-Linzie with another unnamed passenger.
Murray said he and Thomas were friends with Bryn Rankin, and Thomas was in the car with Rankin when he was murdered by Lamarr Mayfield last year. Murray said they had been “Beefing” with Marshall because he was a “part of Mayfield’s crew.”
Murray and Thomas are being held on 1st degree murder charges with Murray’s bond at $1 million, and Thomas’ at $2 million.
