A van carrying the Missouri Military Academy’s boys basketball team crashed in Callaway County Tuesday evening. A Chevy Equinox broadsided the Missouri Military Academy van on Highway 54 near North Callaway High School, after the van failed to yield when it tried to cross at about 4:00 p.m.
The driver of the Chevy, 40-year-old Kathy Williams of Auxvasse, had serious injuries. No one in the van had more than moderate injuries, but MMA did forfeit its district game Tuesday.
