A garage near the capitol is mostly open, even as engineers look for structural damage from a minivan fire there yesterday.
Jefferson City Fire Chief Bob Rennick says the garage is made of concrete slabs that absorbed and intensified the fire’s heat. Nobody was hurt in the blaze at the house of representatives garage. Inspectors say only a few parking spaces are closed for examination.
