The Thirsty Turtle now has a crack in its shell.
Kyle Hargrett, 25, is in custody after driving his car into the bar on Columbia’s Business Loop a little after 3:00 a.m. today. He was driving on Tenth Street when an officer saw he missed a stop sign at the Rogers St. intersection. The officer tried to stop Hargrett, but he took off. Hargrett eventually crashed into the south brick wall of the Thirsty Turtle. Hargrett took off on foot, but the officer tracked him down near Charles Barber Shop.
He was taken to jail on six charges, including driving while intoxicated, driving without a license, and a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
