Glenn Beck’s rally this past weekend drew hundreds of thousands of people to the Lincoln Memorial over the weekend, hundreds of which were from Missouri.

Was it a non-political rally about honor and faith and the values of America’s greatness or was it an ideological slap in the face to Dr. Martin Luther King, who delivered his “I Have A Dream Speech” at that very spot 47 years earlier?

At least a couple hundred central Missourians are headed to Washington, DC this weekend for Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” Rally, thanks to the hard work of Chris & Penny O’Connor from the Mid Missouri 9-12 Patriots. For those of you who aren’t making that trip, you can still join together with your fellow patriots and be a part of a local rally.

…but it’s OK if you tell someone about today’s show…

Late Saturday/early Sunday, there were 10 – 14 gunshots fired in south Columbia. It happened after a big event at the Galactic Fun Zone – the violence happened at and around the business. One woman was stabbed in the neck and there were at least two large-scale fights as well.

On Monday, a federal judge struck down a Missouri law that restricted where and when protesters could be around funerals. The law was in reaction to some complete nutcases activists from Topeka who are known for disrupting memorial services for fallen US soldiers.

Uncle Sam is sending over $23-million to Mid-Missouri ($16.6-million in grants and $7.1 in loans) to Socket in order to provide high speed internet access to rural areas. Yes, it’s “stimulus” money.

Saving Jobs or Paying Off Unions in an Election Year?

The President signs a multi-billion dollar spending bill that he says will save teachers’ jobs and stabilize the economies of states that are struggling. Critics, including the National Right to Work Foundation, say it’s just another election-year payoff to liberal special interest groups…paid for with your money.
