A Boone County house is a total loss after a fire. Gail Blomenkamp with the Boone County Fire Department says crews arrived a little before 5:00 a.m. Thursday at the abandoned residence on Swartz Road near Centralia. Blomenkamp says the home didn’t even have electricity. He adds crews put out most of the flames, but it will still be smoldering for several days. No injuries were reported. Blomenkamp says they’re still trying to find out the cause.
