The drive home on Highway 50 took a bit longer for many commuters, after a two-vehicle accident yesterday evening in Cole County. 74-year-old Ronald Muenks of Centertown was driving on 50 west of Jefferson City at about 5:00, and then tried to make a left across the highway on to Route “U”. He was hit on the right side of his car by a Silverado, driven by 42-year-old Matthew Kremer of Jeff City. Muenks suffered serious injuries, and was taken to a Columbia hospital. Kremer, and a passenger in his vehicle, sustained minor injuries.
