Columbia police are investigating an armed robbery. Two people robbed the Wendy’s restaurant near the Columbia mall early this morning. Police say a black male and black female went up to an employee who was outside and forced him back into the restaurant at gunpoint. Then they forced the manger into the office where they took cash. Surveillance video shows the suspects leaving the scene in a dark vehicle. No one was hurt. So far, the only description of the suspects is that the male is about 5’7″, 150 lbs with dreadlocks and the female has light skin and dreadlocks.
