The Army says a 21-year-old soldier from Columbia, died of injuries suffered when his vehicle was attacked with an explosive device in Afghanistan. Specialist Sterling Wyatt died Wednesday. He was injured in Kandahar Province.
Wyatt joined the Army in November 2010 and arrived at the Washington state base in March 2011. Wyatt deployed to Afghanistan last December. This was his first deployment.
