An Ashland man is taken into custody for an early morning hit and run that injures a 12 year southern Boone County boy. 21 year old Javan Simpson was arrested around 5 Friday morning after his damaged pick up was found abandoned at the Hartsburg river access off Rriver Road. At 1:30 Friday morning, 12 year old Kenneth Davis of Wilton was flown to the University Hospital when he was walking north on Route M, just north of Wilton, in southern Boone County and was struck by a pick up that left the scene. About 4 hours after the accident, the abandoned Nissan pick up was found at the Hartsburg river access…..and investigators quickly found the owner.
