Daniel Boone Regional Library Hold Up

cpd

A library patron took a scary ride Wednesday night, after a man held him at gunpoint demanding money.

Columbia Police say the victim was walking out of the Daniel Boone Regional Library at about 6:10 p.m., when the robber walked behind him and showed a handgun. He made the victim drive to his bank on Stadium and withdraw money from the ATM. When he had the cash, the suspect told the victim to drive to the corner of Wilkes and Seventh Street. Then the robber ran away. She says anyone with more information about the library robbery should call Columbia Police or CrimeStoppers.
