Two Mid-Missouri residents are dead after a crash in Franklin County.
21-year-old Austen Vanbooven of Rhineland and 27-year-old Amanda Witthaus of Hermann were traveling in opposite directions Tuesday afternoon on Route 100 a few miles west of New Haven. The Highway Patrol says Vanbooven’s car traveled over the center line and hit Witthaus head-on.
Neither car had any passengers, but the drivers were both pronounced dead at the scene.
