A Columbia man is found guilty of first degree murder even though his defense was that he shot 4 times in self defense.A Callaway County jury returns a guilty verdict against 29 year old Grady Dortch Junior for the November 2008 shooting death of 28 year old Miles Heard of Columbia. About 100 people were in Douglass Park last November on Election Day when Dortch shot Miles in broad daylight. The jury deliberated about two hours before coming back with the conviction. He’ll be sentenced next month and faces life in prison with no chance for parole.
