13 people are in custody after a major drug sweep in Macon County.
Macon County sheriff deputies, Macon Police, Highway Patrol troopers and North Central Drug Task Force officers assisted in serving search warrants throughout the county on Thursday morning. Macon County Sheriff Robert Dawson says Operation Heat Wave was the result of an investigation that started late last year.
Those arrested are 18 year old William Cody Ziebarth of Macon, 18 year old Deidre M. Pace of Macon, 40 year old Lenton Cruz Tillman of Macon, 59 year old Theresa D. Miller of Macon, 36 year old April LaChance of Macon, 23 year old Andrew Romanetto of Macon, 22 year old Mary Bocenstedt of Macon, 50 year old Gordon Welch age 50 of Macon, 23 year old Kirk T. Johnson of Macon, 21 year old Dustin Ginther of Macon, 27 year old Ryan J. Welch of Macon, 23 year old Melodie D. Paris of Macon, and 51 year old Brenda (Short) Tate of Macon.
Dawson says three other suspects remain at large.
