A head on crash in Gasconade county leaves one man dead and another in serious condition. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol it happened early yesterday morning on US 50 east of Route P. A vehicle driven by 20-year-old Selvin Garth of Linn crossed the centerline where he hit a vehicle head on driven by 56 year old Homer Steinbeck of Bland.
Steinbeck was pronounced dead at the scene while Garth was flown to a St. Louis area hospital with serious injuries. Steinbeck was not wearing a seat belt.
