Firefighters in Mexico, Missouri as black smoke could be seen coming from the old Audrian County Sheriff’s Office and Jail. This happened just after 11 Friday morning in the area of South Clark and West Promenade. County authorities found sparks from a cutting torch being used inside the building ignited a pile of items in a nearby jail cell. The fire was extinguished within a half-hour and no one was injured.
