The man who escaped from a Columbia hospital Friday while under arrest is still on the loose. Boone county sheriff’s deputies arrested 50-year-old John Briley early last week for various charges in several states. He needed to go to the hospital, but was able to sneak out on Friday. Detective Tom O’Sullivan says they’re not sure where Briley is right now. O’Sullivan does say he expects briley to turn up soon, because of the fugitive’s lengthy rap sheet.
