Fulton Man Pleads Guilty To Bank Robbery
A Fulton man admits he robbed banks across the state, including some in Mid-Missouri.Federal prosecutors say 61-year-old John Farnell pleaded guilty yesterday to heists in Sedalia, Cuba, and Chillicothe. In the Sedalia robbery, Farnell says he entered the Excel Bank in August 2009 and revealed a black handgun. He told two tellers to dump cash in a gym bag, then took off.
Farnell was sentenced in March to robberies in Cuba, Moberly, and Rolla, and earned 13-and-a-half years in prison for those crimes. He now faces an additional 25 years without parole for his latest guilty plea.
