Fulton Man Sentenced For Bank Robbery

grand jury

A Fulton man will spend twelve-and-a-half years in prison for robbing a southwest Missouri bank.

60-year-old Edward Lee Cooke was sentenced in federal court Thursday. He admits to stealing nearly 8-thousand dollars from the sun security bank in Weaubleau in June of 20-11.

Prosecutors say Cooke entered the bank and announced he was robbing it. He held a hand inside his jacket the whole time, but investigators never recovered a gun. A sheriff’s deputy arrested Cooke later that day, as he was walking out of a wooded area.
