Golden Corral Bomb Threat

Posted by staff on January 8, 2013

Thankfully it was a dud… Columbia Police dealt with a bomb threat on the city’s northeast side yesterday.

Officers went to the Golden Corral on Clark Lane at about 3:15 p.m. Police say someone called in the anonymous threat, and management decided to evacuate the restaurant.

Sergeant Joe Barnhard says police didn’t find anything suspicious in their initial sweep of the business, but called in a K-9 unit to double-check as a precaution. He says police have no indication right now as to who might have called in that threat.
