Governor Candidates Have First Debate

nixon-spence

Jay Nixon and Dave Spence went toe-to-toe for the first time Friday morning, during a debate in Columbia.
Nixon emphasized improvements he felt the state has made on jobs and education. He said Missouri is making real progress, and heading in the right direction.
Spence disagreed, equating Nixon to the captain of the Titanic. He said too many people on food stamps, poor economic development, and too many special interests are spelling doom for the state.
We had the Gubernatorial and Senate debates live on 93.9 The Eagle and online Friday morning.
