A high-speed chase ends with the suspect in custody.

David Rodebaugh, 37, drove away from the scene of an alleged domestic assault late Tuesday night on Madison Street just before police arrived. An officer found his car, but Rodebaugh sped off on Highway 54, at times going faster than 100 miles an hour. He wrecked trying to turn on Heritage Highway, then ran into a wooded area. It took lots of officers, and a K-9 Unit, but they finally found him.

Rodebaugh faces several charges, including domestic assault, and felony resisting arrest and driving while revoked. He’s in the Cole County Jail.
