Dozens of firefighters worked to save a Jefferson City business last night. Heavy black smoke was pouring out of the roof of Prescision Machine on Christy Drive when firefighters arrived about 6:30. The fire was located mostly in the ceiling of the business, and firefighters had to break through the roof to put out the smoky blaze. Nobody was in the building at the time of the fire. Crews were on the scene more than five hours extinguising hot spots.
