An Eldon man is dead following a two-car wreck on highway 54 south of Jefferson City. 76-year old jerry moody died when his car plowed into the side of a car driven by 27-year-old Mindy Melton of rich hill. The highway patrol says Melton pulled out in front of moody who was westbound on highway 54 at buffalo road.
Melton was life flighted to university hospital where she was listed in serious condition. 70 – year old Judith moody was seriously injured as well. Highway 54 was closed for a period of time yesterday afternoon until the victims were taken from the scene.
