Missouri Transportation Commission Chairman Mike Kehoe of Jefferson City resigns and is considering a run for the state senate. Mo-Dot says Kehoe’s resignation takes effect immediately and that Vice Chairman David Gach takes over the top spot. Kehoe confirms that he’s considering running as a Republican for the seat of term-limited Senator Carl Vogel, of Jefferson City. Kehoe is a Jefferson City automobile dealer who was appointed to the State Highways and Transportation Commission in 2005 by then-Gov. Matt Blunt. Now Governor Nixon will appoint a replacement for Kehoe.
