55 year old Allen Hause, formerly of Hartsburg, is taken into custody in Houston, Texas on a Boone County warrant for tampering with a judge. The “tampering” warrant stems from a call left on an answering machine on December 26th at the home of Boone County Judge Kevin Crane. Prosecutors say the call was meant to alarm the former prosecutor and his family. Judge Crane immediately filed a report with the sheriff’s department. He received several more alarming messages from the same person on his answering machine on Jan. 1st. Hause was identified as the caller and a warrant was issued. A cash-only bond is set at 500-thousand dollars. He has a criminal record dating over 30 years including assault with weapons, drugs, property damage, resisting arrest and domestic violence. Hause lives in the Houston area…and that’s where police and the FBI made the arrest.
