Maries County authorities are trying to weed out crime in the Dixon area. At this time last week, we were telling you about a house that was broken into multiple times, leading to four arrests so far. Now, they’ve busted an apparent marijuana operation on Highway 133. Deputies on Saturday found several marijuana plants, prepackaged bags of pot, and more. They arrested Dixon natives 58-year-old Stanley Sinker, and 53-year-old Catherine Hay, on felony drug charges.
Speaking of last week’s home burglaries, the Maries County Sheriff’s Department is still looking for 45-year-old George Puckett (pictured), most recently of Springfield.
