A Moberly woman is shot in the back, and police have a suspect in custody. Officers responded to a shooting on West Lee Street at about 1:40 Thursday morning. They found the 32-year old victim at the scene, and she went to a Columbia hospital for treatment. There’s no word on her condition.
Police arrested a 44-year-old Randolph County man on suspicion of first-degree assault and other charges. They aren’t releasing his name until charges are formally filed, but the man’s bond is set at $200,000.
