Boone County deputies suspect a busted meth lab might have been run as a family affair.
SWAT team members made the raid Friday morning at a house on Route V south of Sturgeon. Inside, thy found the meth lab, stolen property, drug paraphernalia and evidence of potential animal abuse. Detective Tom O’Sullivan says 59-year-old Joyce Lyons and her son, 29-year-old Forrest “Daniel” Lyons were arrested and could face drug and child endangerment charges. Four young children living in the home were turned over to Children’s Services after the raid. A third man, 33-year-old Shane Skaggs of Higbee, was arrested on drug charges and a parole violation.
