It’s a mistrial in the case of a Cole county man accused of murder in the traffic accident deaths of two people near Russellville last year. Damien Bryan was charged with driving drunk during the Route “C” crash that killed Donald Edwards of Russellville and Joan Hamilton of Lenexa Kansas in August of 2011. A trooper testified yesterday about Bryan’s previous DWI arrests prompting judge Pat Joyce to declare a mistrial. A new trial could be held in October or November.
