It’s like a flashback to the Anthrax scare days.
Yesterday afternoon a mysterious white powder closed and quarantined a Lake area convenience store. A clerk at the KK Eagle Stop (located at Highway 54 and State Road KK) received a roll of quarters from a customer as payment, and when they opened it, found a powdery substance. Two store employees had a bad reaction to the powder and were taken to the hospital. Authorities closed and quarantined the store, and the powder was determined to be non-lethal. The store reopened after four and a half hours and the investigation continues.
