Nixon says that has to come up. The governor has outlined a proposal he will make to the state legislature to lengthen the minimum school year in Missouri.
Nixon says the national average for school days is 180. He will propose making that the minimum amount of days when he presents his state of the state speech to the Missouri legislature on January 28th.
