ASHLAND, Ohio (AP) – Authorities are looking for a 33-year-old Ohio woman who went on vacation in North Carolina with her two children and her boyfriend but didn’t return with them.
Sheriff’s officials in Ashland County, Ohio, say they are working with North Carolina investigators on the disappearance of Lynn Jackenheimer. She traveled to the Nags Head, N.C. area and has been missing since July 4.
Investigators are looking for Jackenheimer’s boyfriend, who they describe as a “person of interest” in the case. Police say the man returned Jackenheimer’s children to Ohio and left them with his family. They say a relative reported the man made comments indicating he may have harmed the woman.
