One of the men suspected of robbing the Boone County National Bank on St. Charles Road is now in police custody.
Columbia Police say they arrested Alvin Watkins without incident at a home on Demaret Drive Thursday night. Watkins allegedly robbed the bank with another man on September 21st. They took off in a silver SUV, and police tracked the license plates to find the owner. She said she loaned the SUV to a friend, who then loaned it to the robbers.
Watkins faces a second-degree robbery charge. His bond is set at $50,000.
