Columbia Police say a man wanted in four burglaries and an assault is in custody. Wayne McGill, Junior was arrested early Friday morning at a Columbia motel. Police say he was wanted for allegedly assaulting another man at The Bridge Bar off Walnut Street and burglaries at an auto body shop off Old Highway 63, along with an insurance agency, a sign shop and a clothing reseller all on East Broadway. Police say all of the crimes happened Thursday. McGill was arrested for four counts of Burglary in the Second Degree with a total bond of $18,000.00, Assault in the Third Degree with a bond of $500.00 and Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a bond of $4,500.00. Police say he admitted his involvement in all crimes.
