Sanders’ Attorneys Want Evidence Suppressed

It’s going to trial…and the courts are only allowing one more continuance in the murder case of a Columbia man accused of killing his mother.  Attorneys for 20 year old Daniel Sanders receive one more continuance in their client’s second degree murder trial. A pre-trial conference hearing is continued until next week, Jan. 20th, when Sanders’ attorneys will ask for suppression of evidence. An Adair County Jury will hear the case March 15th in front of Boone County Judge Gary Oxenhandler. In August of 2008, Columbia Police stopped a car driving recklessly on Highway 63 at Stadium. A search of the trunk revealed the body of 53 year old Helen Sanders wrapped in a blanket. Daniel is charged with second degree murder and tampering with evidence.
