Republican Todd Akin might need to take some shots at incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill Thursday night if he wants to turn the tide in the U.S. Senate race. The candidates are meeting for a debate in the St. Louis area, after squaring off in a forum in Columbia last month.
Missouri News Horizon political reporter Eli Yokley says the subject of some of Akin’s recent ads could be a debate attack line…
Yokley also expects McCaskill to come out swinging at Akin. He thinks she probably didn’t attack during the first Senate debate because Akin could have still removed himself from the ballot at that time.
