The adoption policy at the Central Missouri Humane Society may be eased. Board members are considering a less restrictive policy so that adoption rates will go up. No decision was made at Tuesday night’s meeting. But not everyone thinks this is the path to take. Some volunteers say they fear some people who shouldn’t have pets will be allowed to adopt from the Central Missouri Humane Society. The volunteers say they have the closest contact day-to-day with the animals at the shelter and should have their concerns taken into consideration. The board members decided to take up the issue at a later date.
