Police say three prison inmates overpowered a Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputy this morning and took his patrol car. It happened along I-70 at a rest area near milemarker 104. The inmates were able to make it to Howard County where the first two were caught. One inmate, 44-year-old Ronald Greer, was at large, and is now also in custody. Greer is charged with forcible rape with a weapon. The deputy was taken to Cooper County Hospital. He was treated for minor injuries and released.
