Columbia Police are trying to get more information about a pair of shootouts over the weekend on the Business Loop.
The first one, just before midnight Sunday, was in the area of the Business Loop and Range Line intersection. A gold-colored four-door vehicle and a silver Dodge Charger apparently shot at each other there. Then, there were apparently many shots fired outside the Empire Roller Rink on the Business Loop about 40 minutes later. Officer Latisha Stroer says they can’t tell for sure if the two incidents are related, because they don’t have descriptions of the shooters or their vehicles in the second incident.
There are no reported injuries yet with either shootout. The only property damage was apparently two cars near the roller rink, including a police vehicle.
