The “prime suspect” in a New Year’s Day shooting in Jefferson City turns himself in. Multiple reports say 26-year-old Daleron Monroe of Columbia surrendered to law enforcement Friday afternoon. Monroe allegedly shot at brothers Brandon and Byron Betts outside a Jefferson City gas station early on New Year’s Day. Brandon Betts was shot in the face, but later arrested on drug charges. Byron Betts was initially arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.
