Three Walmart stores in Kansas were temporarily closed yesterday after someone phoned in bomb threats.
Mutliple reports say at least 12 Wal-Marts across Missouri and Oklahoma, including one in Jefferson City, were evacuated Friday night due to bomb threats. Those reports say the Walmart Supercenter on Jeff City’s east side was threatened, along with several others in Raytown, Gladstone, Peter’s, Nixa, Ozark and locations in Oklahoma. The Jeff City location has reportedly been given the all-clear from authorities, and workers were allowed inside the store after a second search turned up nothing. The FBI is now investigating to see there is a connection between the threats.
